About this tool
People search YouTube differently from how they search the web. They look for a demonstration, a comparison, a walkthrough or a verdict, and their phrasing reflects that. This generator reshapes your topic into the phrasings that actually show up in video searches — how-to, tutorial, review, versus, best, mistakes — so your titles and descriptions match how viewers describe what they want to watch.
How it works
Your topic is combined with three template families. The how-to family covers tutorial, step-by-step, explained and beginner framings. The review family covers comparison, versus, best, budget and worth-it framings. The list family covers roundups, mistakes, essentials and checklists. Choose one family to focus a single video, or generate all three to plan a whole series from one subject. Duplicates are removed and output order is stable.
- 1Enter the topic your video covers.
- 2Pick a format focus, or leave it on all formats to plan a series.
- 3Generate the phrase list.
- 4Pick one phrase as the spine of your title and use the rest in the description.

When to use it
- Planning a video series where each episode targets a different search shape.
- Finding the phrasing to build a title around before scripting.
- Writing a description that naturally covers related searches.
- Deciding whether a topic supports a tutorial, a review or both.
Tips
- Type your best three candidates into YouTube's search box and watch what autocompletes.
- The title should read like a promise, not a keyword string.
- Save the unused phrases — they make good chapter names and description lines.
Limitations
These are generated phrasings, not data. Hashly cannot see YouTube search volume, competition or suggested queries. Use YouTube's own search bar autocomplete to confirm which of these phrasings real viewers type before committing to a title.
Frequently asked questions
- Does this show YouTube search volume?
- No. All phrases are generated locally from templates. YouTube does not publish search volume publicly, and Hashly makes no connection to it.
- How do I choose between the phrasings?
- Check each one in YouTube's search autocomplete. Suggestions that appear there reflect real searches, which is the closest free signal available.
- Should I put every keyword in the title?
- No. One clear phrase in a readable title beats a stuffed one. Put supporting phrases in the description instead.
