About this tool

The fastest way to understand a YouTube niche is to read fifty titles and notice what they have in common. This extractor does the noticing for you: paste a batch of titles and it reports the words and phrases that recur, how often, and how long the titles tend to be. It works on your own back catalogue just as well as on a set you collected while researching.

How it works

Titles are joined with sentence boundaries so phrases do not run across separate titles, then tokenised. Single-word mode counts meaningful words after stop-word removal. Two- and three-word modes slide a window across the text and count each phrase, discarding fragments that begin or end with a stop word. Alongside the phrase table, the tool reports how many titles you analysed and the average and maximum title lengths in characters.

  1. 1Collect the titles you want to study and paste them one per line.
  2. 2Choose whether to extract single words or longer phrases.
  3. 3Generate to see the recurring language and the length profile.
  4. 4Export the table as CSV if you are building a research document.

Example

Input

Three titles about home studio lighting

Output

home studio — 3 · studio lighting — 3 · on a budget — 1

When to use it

  • Understanding the vocabulary of a niche before publishing in it.
  • Auditing your own channel for accidental title repetition.
  • Finding the length window that titles in your category tend to use.
  • Building an evidence base for a title strategy recommendation.

Tips

  • Paste at least twenty titles; smaller samples show noise rather than patterns.
  • Compare the top phrases against your own titles to spot where you differ.
  • Note the average length — titles get truncated in some surfaces around sixty characters.

Limitations

The analysis only sees the titles you paste. It cannot tell you which titles performed well, so a recurring phrase might be a successful pattern or simply a copied habit. Pair the counts with view data you gather yourself before drawing conclusions.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I get a batch of titles?
Copy them manually from a channel or search results page. Hashly does not fetch pages, so the titles have to be pasted in by you.
Does a common phrase mean it works?
Not by itself. Popularity in a sample shows convention, not effectiveness. Combine it with performance data you can see.
Why are short words missing?
Single-word mode drops stop words and very short tokens so the results reflect topic language rather than grammar.
