About this tool
The Hashly Keyword Generator expands one topic into a structured list of keyword ideas you can actually work with. Instead of staring at a blank page, you type the subject you publish about and get modifier variations, descriptive long-tail phrases and natural question phrasings side by side. Every combination is produced in your browser from linguistic patterns that appear again and again in real search behaviour, which means the tool works offline, returns results instantly and never sends your topic anywhere.
How it works
The generator takes your topic, normalises spacing and casing, then applies three families of patterns. Intent modifiers such as best, how to, guide, tips, ideas, tools, free and near me are attached before and after the topic. Descriptive suffixes add the shapes people use when they are ready to act — plan, routine, checklist, mistakes, cost. Finally, question words are prefixed to produce phrasing that matches spoken and typed questions. Duplicates are removed and the list is returned in a stable order, so the same topic always produces the same output.
- 1Type a topic, niche, product or phrase into the input field.
- 2Choose whether you want all variation types or only modifiers, long-tail phrases or questions.
- 3Optionally add your own modifiers, one per line, to reflect your market's vocabulary.
- 4Generate, then copy the list or download it as TXT, CSV or JSON for your planning sheet.

When to use it
- Building a first draft keyword list for a new blog category or YouTube series.
- Finding sub-topics to break a broad pillar page into supporting articles.
- Preparing a brainstorm sheet before validating demand in a paid keyword data tool.
- Generating phrase variations to test in social captions and video descriptions.
Tips
- Add three or four modifiers from your own industry; they usually outperform generic ones.
- Run the tool twice — once on the broad topic, once on your most specific product — and merge the results.
- Send the output through the Keyword Intent Classifier to split ideas by what the searcher wants.
Limitations
This tool generates ideas from patterns, not from a search index. It cannot tell you how many people search a phrase, how competitive it is, or whether it will rank. Some combinations will read awkwardly — that is expected with pattern expansion, and you should delete anything that a real person would never type.
Frequently asked questions
- Does this tool show search volume?
- No. Hashly generates keyword ideas locally and has no connection to a search-volume dataset. Use the output as a brainstorming list and validate the promising phrases in a data source you trust.
- Will the same topic always produce the same keywords?
- Yes. The generation logic is deterministic, so running the same topic with the same options returns an identical list. That makes it easy to re-run and diff results as your topic wording changes.
- Can I use my own modifier vocabulary?
- Yes. Add one modifier per line in the extra modifiers box and they are combined with your topic alongside the built-in patterns.
