About this tool
A hashtag is a label, not a lottery ticket. The most useful sets describe what a post genuinely contains, mixing the exact niche phrase with a few broader category tags so the post is findable by people browsing that subject. This generator builds that structure from a single topic: the core phrase, its individual words, descriptive variations and a handful of platform-typical community tags.
How it works
Your topic is tokenised into words and recombined into a ladder of specificity. The full phrase becomes the most precise tag, individual words become the broad category tags, and templated variations add the tips, ideas, community, daily and inspiration framings that people follow. A small set of platform-typical terms is appended. Everything is converted into valid hashtag syntax, with punctuation removed and either camelCase or lowercase applied, then de-duplicated.
- 1Enter the topic, niche or product your post is about.
- 2Choose how many hashtags you want and whether to use camelCase or lowercase.
- 3Generate, then review each tag and delete anything that does not describe your post.
- 4Copy the set as a block or download it for reuse.

When to use it
- Building a starting hashtag set for a new content niche.
- Creating consistent tag blocks for a recurring content series.
- Producing variations so every post does not carry an identical tag list.
- Drafting tag suggestions for clients who manage their own posting.
Tips
- Mix specificity deliberately: a few exact tags, a few category tags, and skip the giant generic ones.
- Rotate sets between posts rather than pasting the identical block every time.
- Delete anything that does not honestly describe the post — irrelevant tags annoy people and help nobody.
Limitations
Hashly generates hashtags from your words alone. It cannot tell you which tags are currently popular, which are banned or restricted on a given platform, or how many posts already use them. Always check an unfamiliar tag on the platform itself before publishing.
Frequently asked questions
- How many hashtags should I use?
- It depends on the platform and the post. Instagram permits thirty, LinkedIn posts usually read better with three to five, and Facebook with one or two. Relevance matters far more than volume.
- Do these hashtags guarantee more reach?
- No. Hashtags help categorise a post so interested people can find it, but no tag set guarantees impressions, engagement or followers.
- Why camelCase?
- Capitalising each word inside a hashtag makes it far easier to read and is significantly better for screen reader users, without changing how the platform indexes it.
